Project goals

The site youthrunaway.ca is the result of an action-research project launched by the organization Dans la rue in 2008. This project was entitled “Reaching out to runaway minors: A shared responsibility in child protection.”

The project’s goals:

Understand the experience of running away as seen by the various stakeholders.

Mobilize these stakeholders based on their complementary roles.

Document their intervention practices and develop new practices.

Set up joint initiatives to better reach minors who run away.

This project ended in 2011, and the final action-research report was published in 2012.
